Who We Are

We are Bearden, the honey warming experts, and we are thrilled to have partnered with Nicky Nadeau. Nicky is a local beekeeper selling regular and flavoured honeys at farmers markets. She has asked us to build a honey warmer to help her manage the crystallized honey she has in storage.

This honey warmer will make Nicky’s workflow more efficient and safer by removing repeated strenuous tasks associated with handling crystallized honey.

What We Solve

Honey is a fantastic food source; it is rich in nutrients and natural sugars. During storage the sugars in the honey leave suspension to form crystals, transforming it into a stiff, solid material. Crystallized honey is still a perfectly safe product. However, customers are less inclined to buy it and its solid state can be very difficult to manage.

Nicky’s current process for decrystallizing honey is by scooping it into a special machine. The scooping process is labour-intensive and time-consuming; this is where BearDen comes in. Our goal is to make a honey warming device that can completely remove the need for Nikki to deal with any crystallized honey. Removing the crystallized honey from Nikki’s workflow saves her physical labour and significant time, which she can use to help grow her business.
